What Makes Us Different

Friendship House is an Indigenous-led organization grounded in our traditional values as Native people. We believe that culture is medicine. Traditional medicine and cultural ceremonies like sweat lodge and talking circles, are combined with modern approaches like medication for addiction treatment (MAT) and behavioral therapy.

Women hold a sacred place in our Native communities as healers, caregivers, and knowledge keepers. We believe in your power and ability to heal, wherever you are in your recovery.

At the Women’s Lodge, you will be part of a community where the majority are Native and have a shared history. It’s in this Native-led and Native-focused setting where we see higher success rates.
